As more and more people are entering the digital realm and working online, there are a lot of digital tools that make processes and systems easier. They definitely are not must haves, but they sure do make lives easier and workplaces more effective.
That being said, the amount of tools that are available can be a bit overwhelming when either starting out or when looking for a new one. Today, we’re going to tell you what we use here at Fizzin, how we use them and why we use them.
Probably the most important tool that we use is Canva. Canva is a graphic design platform that we use to create social media designs, logos, website mockups, presentations, banners, flyers, and pretty much everything and anything else. Canva is amazing because it allows you to let your creativity run free. If you’re someone that doesn’t want to spend hours designing, Canva offers a wide range of stunning templates that you can use. (Of course you could also let Fizzin do it for you)
Canva offers a free plan which is great if you just require a few posts and use some templates, but if you want to use different effects, animations or shapes you would need to get the paid plan.
We are a fully remote company so we are not sitting directly next to, or opposite, one another. Google Chat is a great way for us to communicate with each other quickly and effectively if we require anything. Sometime’s a long email is not needed if you just need a link to one thing and a quick message does the trick. Google Chat is completely free and we definitely recommend using it.
We manage quite a few social media accounts and in order for us to create the designs and to keep track of those accounts, we need some help when publishing. Planable is great because it auto publishes our posts onto different accounts and we can schedule it all in advance. There is a free trial available for Planable so that you can see if it’s the one that you want to use, but if not there are other scheduling tools such as Iconosquare and Later.
Majority of scheduling tools are paid for and do have free trials, but we can assure you that if you’re posting 24/7 it’s a good investment.
Digital tools are so helpful and make processes a lot easier. Canva, Google Chat and Planable are the three tools that our team uses every single day here at Fizzin. When deciding which tool is great for you, your business and your team, don’t be afraid to make use of the free trials because that’s what they are there for. You should also take into consideration if you really need the tool and if the paid version is viable or if it’s just an extra expense. If you don’t absolutely need the paid version of Canva then don’t get it - you can still do a lot in the free version.
